Santhos's fundraiser for Show Racism The Red Card

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
My name is Santhos Sutharsanan, and on April 27, 2025, I’ll be running the 45th London Marathon! As an experienced marathon runner, I’ve completed the 2023 London Marathon, 2024 Manchester Marathon, and multiple half marathons. I know firsthand the physical and mental challenges of running 42km—the immense effort, time, and discipline required, as well as the tough recovery (I really felt that after my last London Marathon!).
This year, I’m fundraising for Show Racism the Red Card, an incredible charity dedicated to fighting racism through education. Their work is truly making a difference—96% of teachers report feeling significantly more confident discussing racism after their workshops, and they’ve engaged over one million people in their anti-racism educational programs.
By supporting this cause, we can challenge racist attitudes, break down community barriers, and empower young people to understand and reject racism. The charity also harnesses the influence of football role models like Shaka Hislop, using workshops, training, and multimedia resources to spread its powerful message—reaching over 50,000 people annually.
As someone proud of my South Asian heritage, I am deeply committed to fostering a more inclusive and understanding society—one where diversity is celebrated, and racism has no place. Having witnessed racism firsthand, I know how important it is to take a stand.
I discovered Show Racism the Red Card late last year when a friend invited me to run the London Marathon to support their mission. Their work in combating racism through education and awareness is invaluable, and every contribution helps them continue making a real impact.
Together, we can help create a more inclusive future. Please consider donating—every bit makes a difference!
