Story
I’m running my first half marathon at the Edinburgh Half on 24th May 2026, and honestly… it’s something I never thought I’d do. Running 13.1 miles feels like a huge challenge for me, but that’s exactly why I’m doing it, to push myself out of my comfort zone and prove I can do anything I set my mind to.
As a paramedic, I’ve been to jobs where Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance has been involved, and I’ve seen first hand just how essential their skills are. In those critical moments, when time and access make all the difference, they bring a level of care that can completely change a patient’s outcome. Seeing that up close is something that’s stayed with me, and it’s a big reason why this cause means so much to me.
There will definitely be moments in training (and on the day!) where I’ll want to stop, but knowing I’m doing it for something bigger will keep me going.
Any support, no matter how small, would honestly mean a lot 🤍🚁🏃♀️🚑
