On the 6th of June, we will be taking part in the Haven House 10k Sparkle Walk, to raise money for their incredible charity.

This charity is incredibly close to our hearts, as they have been supporting us and our beautiful baby girl Neriah for the past 8 months. They have provided Neriah with physiotherapy sessions, music therapy and yoga therapy. They have also provided home respite on many occasions, meaning that we can spend a few hours working or checking things off our to-do list, with the comfort of knowing that Neriah is having fun, being fed and doing activities with people who know how to take care of her every need. In addition, we have had hours of help with filling out forms that we couldn’t face alone and counselling from someone who has endless experience in dealing with parents who are navigating having children with complicated conditions.

Haven house is a hospice that cares for children with challenging conditions. While we know with absolute certainty that there are no limits to what Neriah can and will do, it’s a blessing to have help navigating the difficulties we do face. And there are hundreds of families that need more support than us. Haven house are available 24/7, providing day and night care, support with getting specialised equipment, activities and days out for mums and dads to get together and share experiences, therapies for the children and even a buddy group for siblings, to give them support too. The list is endless and we are in awe of all they do, as well as how beautiful the people are that work there.
