I’m running the 10k again in Birmingham this May! Challenging myself once again for a charity that’s helped me out a lot.

This year, saw my 5 year anniversary since I had my shunt fitted. After falling unwell during my time at university, to be told I had Hydrocephalus.

The shunt has transformed my life. It was 6 weeks before the Covid pandemic started and being we couldn’t get the support you’d normally receive pre pandemic. I seeked help and support from SHINE!

I just want to try and help other people and families who are in need of the support and advice that SHINE provide! Read below about how the charity helps people living with Hydrocephalus and/or Spina Bifida! ⬇️

Shine provides specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff. Shine enables people to get the best out of life.
