Story
Hi, I’m Sara – and I’ve set myself the huge challenge of running not just one, but two marathons in 7 days to raise money for Sense, a charity very close to my heart.
I’m doing this for my amazing daughter Lylah, who is nonverbal. Sense supports children and adults who are deafblind or have complex disabilities, helping them communicate and experience the world around them. What they do is truly life-changing – and we’ve seen firsthand how vital their support can be.
Training for one marathon is hard enough – but training for two while juggling life as a busy mum is a whole different level. Some days it feels impossible between the school runs, sleepless nights, appointments, and everything else life throws at me… but I’m determined to do this.
Last year I felt completely robbed when injury meant I couldn’t train for the final 8 weeks. It was heartbreaking after all the effort I’d put in. This time, I’m praying I can get through it injury-free and give it everything I’ve got.
Every mile I run is for families like ours, and every pound raised will help Sense continue their amazing work.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, I’d be so grateful. Your support means the world – thank you for cheering me on 💜
