I am running the London Marathon in April 2025 to raise money for Blood Cancer UK. I have chosen to run for Blood Cancer following my dad’s diagnosis with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in March 2024. Blood Cancer UK are a community dedicated to beating blood cancer, which affects 40,000 people a year. They do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, they have invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, their community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and for my dad and other people suffering the challenges of blood cancer, I am determined to help make this happen.
