Last year in March a close friend was diagnosed with Cancer and after treatment then an operation over the Summer she was given the All Clear in November. Sadly, the Cancer has returned and so another uphill battle begins for her.

I decided to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support, Melton Mowbray & Leics branch by having my head shaved in support of this very inspirational lady whom I admire tremendously.

Barry, who is a welder by trade (but apparently completed a 4 year hairdressing apprenticeship in his teens!) agreed to shave my head - in our village pub - on Easter Sunday 5th April at 7.30 pm…… absolutely no pressure 🫣

Barclays Bank PLC have matched every £ I raised up to a maximum of £750 and transferred the funds to MacMillan on 16th April.

With the funds on my JustGiving page, Gift Aid element, cash pledged but still to collect and Barclays £750 I have raised over £4000 - more than enough to fund a MacMillan nurse for 3 weeks.
