Campaign by Sands (RCN 299679 & SC042789)
Leap of Love is Sands' Skydive. Hundreds of brave #SandsSuperstars will take to the skies to save babies' lives in 2025. They'll help us fund vital research and support those affected by the death of a baby.

Story

This year at the beginning of August (date to be confirmed)I will be taking to the skies to do a Leap of Love skydive for Sands!

On the 29th December 2022 our lives changed forever when we found out that our little boys heart had stopped beating. On the 1st of January 2023 just 27days off his due date James Buckey Kearney was born sleeping - he was perfect in every way!

Friends and family who have done a skydive before have asked me if I would ever do one- my reply was always “I would but it would have to be for charity”.

SANDS has help me and continues to help me navigate this new world that I live in without my son.

Sands supports anyone affected by the death of a baby, works in partnership with health professionals to try to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care and funds research that could help to reduce the numbers of babies dying and families devastated by this tragedy.

£20 enables Sands to provide a memory box to parents so they can start making memories with their baby

£140 provides one full day of bereavement care training for healthcare professionals

£580 a day keeps their helpline open and is FREE for every caller

£840 can sponsor an entire day of training for 20 midwives!
