Story
I was diagnosed with breast cancer way back in 2010 and in 2015 was told I had secondary breast cancer in my bones and liver. I have received many treatments since then and am looked after by my fantastic team at Bishop's Wood Hospital which is on the Mount Vernon site at Rickmansworth. A crucial part of my treatments has always been the close monitoring by MRI and CT scans at the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre. The smallest changes are detected and treatments can be adjusted early which is key to dealing with so many types of cancer and other conditions. I really wouldn't be here today without the scans I've had at the Centre. The images that the scanners produce, even in the comparatively short time I have been receiving them, have vastly improved and the technology is changing all the time. We need to raise the funds to keep the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre's scanners at the cutting edge of this technology.
