Story
So I’m turning 70 with the support of my friends and relatives.
The last thing I need to mark this daunting year is more stuff.
But there are charities and causes close to my heart: I’d rather gifts supported people in need, not me.
Of course Refugees at Home is really important to me, but it’s flourishing and is well-established.
So I’m asking for help with our little local drop-in for sanctuary-seekers in Ealing, we started four years ago this month. It’s the ONLY charity just supporting refugees and asylum-seekers in Ealing. And it does a great job (though I say it myself)
But fundraising is really, really hard down here at the unglamorous end of sanctuary support.
So if you are minded to donate, that would be great.
And I promise to match every pound (it’s what grandma would have wanted)
And to thank anyone who hasn’t donated anonymously (which several people have - so thanking them here!)
and now the guff…
