Story
Asma, Habiiba, and Sara are doing the '100,000 steps challenge' to raise money for the Museum of Homelessness!
As very serious walkers/urban hikers, we've decided to undertake the ultimate hot girl walk: 100,000 steps in a day (roughly 16 hours of walking) to support the work of MoH. Our day of walking will take us through 15 London boroughs as well as the City of London.
Who are MoH?:
"The Museum of Homelessness is the world's first museum dedicated to homelessness. It preserves and shares histories of homelessness, poverty and social action, carries out independent investigations, runs artistic events and exhibitions, and takes direct mutual aid action to support people experiencing homelessness.
In the last year the museum provided 4,620 hot meals with the community and provided 101 warm beds through it’s emergency shelter. The museum provides about 7,598 hours of employment per year for people coming out of homelessness, poverty or addiction."
Contribute today!!
We're raising £1,000, 1 pence for every step! Donate £50 and you can suggest a hidden history spot in London for us to stop at during the walk!
You can visit MoH's current exhibition 'Criminal: An Untold History of Homelessness, Resistance and Survival' 12:30-16:30 Thursdays - Saturdays.
Thanks for donating and we'll send an update once we've completed our 100,000 yay!!
