Story
On the 28th March a small team of us will be taking on a 24 hour workout at Gainsborough Spa in Cavendish, Suffolk. A minimum of two people will have to be working out at all times throughout the 24 hour period.
We are raising money for Tommy's Journey, a charity that helps keep families at their babies side when they have been diagnosed with Neonatal Hemochromatosis. This is a life threatening liver condition that can affect newborn babies, often resulting in a liver transplant very early on in life.
Tommy had his transplant at just 6 weeks old and remained in hospital for 5 months as he recovered from his surgery. Many families are unable to stay with their baby all the time as financial commitments mean they must return to work. Tommy's Journey financially and emotionally support families during this time to try and ensure they can spend every precious moment with their little ones. Raising awareness around living organ donation is also very important to us and emotional support is provided to the living donors, before and after transplant.
Please help us to raise as much as possible to make sure no family goes unsupported at such a tough time.
