🐾 Running 1,000km for Greece’s Forgotten Strays 🇬🇷❤️
Across Greece, thousands of dogs and cats are struggling to survive on the streets — searching through rubbish for food, sleeping in unsafe places, and living without the love every animal deserves.
Many end up in overcrowded shelters with little hope of ever finding a home.
That’s why in 2026 I’m taking on a huge personal challenge — running 1,000km to raise funds for Greek Stray Rescue.
Every mile I run will help support the incredible work they do rescuing, caring for and rehoming stray animals who have no one else to fight for them.
Some of the races I’ll be completing along the way include:
🏃 Tabor Farm 10K ✅
🏃 Rochford Half Marathon ✅
🏃 Saltmarsh Half Marathon
🏃 Basildon 10K
🏃 Dunton Race Track 10K
🏃 South Woodham Ferrers 10K
🏃 Kent River Run 18K
🏃 Royal Parks Half Marathon
Greek Stray Rescue works tirelessly to:
🐶 Rescue abandoned dogs and cats
🏡 Find loving forever homes
🧡 Support foster families
🍲 Provide food, blankets and shelter for strays
💉 Fund vital veterinary care, vaccinations, microchipping and sterilisation
They also help arrange safe transport to the UK, giving these animals the chance to finally experience warmth, comfort and a family of their own.
But they can’t do it without support.
Every donation — no matter how small — helps provide food, medical care and a chance at a better life for an animal who has known nothing but hardship.
✨ You can help by:
• Donating
• Sharing this post
• Adopting or fostering
• Helping spread awareness
Even if you can’t donate, sharing this post could help it reach someone who can.
❤️ Together we can give Greece’s stray dogs and cats the love, safety and future they deserve.
