Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page!

I’m about to take on a challenge that truly pushes me out of my comfort zone—I’ve signed up to abseil down the brand-new hospital block at the L&D! If you know me, you’ll understand this is no small feat (think Bridget Jones and the fire pole!). Having stood on the roof for the safety check, I can confirm it’s a long way down!

But this isn’t just about facing my fears—it’s personal. In 2021, I gave birth to my beautiful son, William, weighing just 4lb 12oz. It was an incredibly tough pregnancy, and without the expertise and care of the L&D maternity team, my little one wouldn’t be here today.

Now, the hospital is building a brand-new maternity unit, ensuring even better care for future parents and babies. The funds raised from this challenge will go directly towards enhancing this incredible new facility—helping to provide the best possible environment for families at one of the most important moments in their lives.

This hospital means the world to me. It’s where I was born, where my youngest son was born, and now, I have the honour of leading the hospital’s charity.

I’d love your support—every donation, big or small, will make a difference. Please give what you can and help me turn my fear into something amazing for our hospital!
