Story
In October I will be swapping my running shoes for something a little different. I’ll be trekking for five days along a remote section of the Great Wall of China – the bit that isn’t neatly restored or conveniently flat. Think endless steps, steep climbs, tricky descents, and me questioning all my life choices somewhere around day two.
So why am I doing this? Because I am raising money for Katharine House Hospice in Banbury. Hospices do incredible work at the hardest moments of people’s lives, and I want to help ensure that can continue for the people that need it most.
To be clear: I’m paying for the entire trip myself, so your donations won’t be funding my snacks, blister plasters or emergency cups of tea. Every penny you give goes straight to Katharine House Hospice and the wonderful work they do.
If you can spare anything at all I would hugely appreciate it. Your support will help an amazing charity – and it will also give me the motivation I desperately need when I’m halfway up a never-ending staircase created by someone who clearly hated knees!
Thank you so much.
