I’m a 13-year-old living with a rare genetic disease called Trichothiodystrophy (TTD). This condition makes me super perky, very outgoing, and full of fun! However, it is also life-limiting, which means my time may be shorter than most. TTD affects my whole body; I fall often, have trouble learning, and sometimes use a wheelchair. Additionally, I am photosensitive and my skin burns easily in the sun.

The amazing charity Amy and Friends has changed my life in ways I never thought possible. Since first meeting the wonderful people from Amy and Friends in 2021, I have been able to connect with others who understand what I go through. Meeting families like mine was incredible; it was the first time I’d met anyone else like me! They have become my extended family.

Amy and Friends provide essential financial help for traveling to all my medical appointments at the rare diseases clinic in London. They offer invaluable advice and support to families like mine and host a yearly medical conference for me and all my friends. Inspired by their incredible work, I created Cameron’s Challenge to raise funds so they can continue their mission.

My dad has taken on some impressive challenges over the past few years—running 30 half marathons in 30 days in 2022 and 7 marathons in 7 days in 2023. This time, Cameron’s Challenge is back and crazier than ever! I’ve challenged him to run 60 Half Marathons in 60 Days—an astonishing total of 786 miles! He will be running from May 25th to July 23rd, 2025.

I am reaching out to you for support as we embark on this epic challenge together. Our target is to raise £3,000 for Amy and Friends so they can continue their vital work supporting families like mine.
