SARAH's fundraiser for Cleft Lip And Palate Association

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
This Year's London Landmarks Half Marathon I am running and raising money for the Cleft Lip and Palate Association, in honour of my Daughter Caitlyn, who is now 19.
Being born with a cleft palate meant for the first 12 months Caitlyn struggled to breast feed and had to be fed using specialist bottles, teats and cups, supplied and supported by The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA)
2 days after her 1st birthday Caitlyn had surgery to repair the hole in the soft palate of her throat. unsure weather she would need further surgery later in life. Thankfully she hasn't.
Three babies are born with a cleft lip and/or palate every day in the UK, and they face a 20-year treatment pathway which can continue well into adulthood. The Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) is here to make sure no one has to go through this alone.
Every donation will help CLAPA to continue to provide specialist, targeted services to give people affected by cleft the knowledge and emotional support they need, while their UK-wide community brings together people from all walks of life to share experiences and learn to cope.
