Story
My name is Sarah Ballard; For those who don’t know me, I am the owner of the Franchise of Newton Fallowell Bingham, which is an estate agent. I am looking to raise money for a charity which is close to my heart and hopefully will be close to yours as well!
I am undertaking a 5 day trek in the Sahara Desert on 4th – 12th October 2025 (I know I must be crazy right!) But it will be in name of the Rosie May Foundation - https://www.rosie-may.com which is a remarkable charity set up by Mary and Graham Storrie. Born out of the tragedy of the murder of their little girl Rosie May these remarkable people have channelled their energy into making other children’s lives safer and more enjoyable. Their vision is: “A world in which every child grows up within a safe, nurturing family and has a positive future”
I won’t lie the first thing my office said to me was "Can you do 5 day trek of the desert in heals..." Possibly! ... only joking, not even I’m that crazy!
The event is called "footsteps in the sands", or as I'm now calling it "stilettos in the sands"
So, I guess I’m asking, if you can, please help this amazing charity by donating and any encouragement and kind advice is also welcome.

Embark on an Epic Journey to Change Lives: Support Our Sahara Trek!
This October, a brave team of Rosie May trekkers will trade the comforts of home for an extraordinary adventure across the breathtaking Sahara Desert. We’ll endure scorching heat and challenging terrain—all for a cause close to our hearts.
Why are we doing this? Because every step we take will help provide hope and opportunity to children and families supported by the Rosie May Foundation. Your donation directly funds life-changing projects, including education for children in Sri Lanka and safe transport initiatives empowering women in India.
Each Rosie May trekker has committed to raising at least £1,000, a contribution that makes a massive difference:
£25 provides a school bag filled with essential supplies for a child.
£50 funds a week’s worth of after-school English lessons.
We’re not just walking for the experience—we’re walking for brighter futures, safer communities, and a world where every child has a chan
