Story
As a family, we are committed to raising as much money as possible for Birmingham Hospice. Over the coming months, we’ve set ourselves a series of challenges, with the next major milestone being Sarah running the London Marathon on 26th April 2026.
Our journey began with Olive proudly taking part in a Colour Run in September 2025, and it will continue beyond the marathon with Steven running the Birmingham Half Marathon on 3rd May 2026. Every challenge is part of our shared goal to raise vital funds for this incredible charity.
We are doing all of this in memory of our lovely Sam, who sadly passed away on 17th April 2025, aged just 30. A true Disney princess, Sam was beautiful inside and out. She lit up every room with her kindness, infectious laugh and warm heart. Her strength, courage and tenacity continue to inspire us every day, and she remains an incredible role model for Olive – something we are endlessly grateful for. An auntie, sister-in-law and dear friend, we miss her every single day ❤️
Birmingham Hospice gave Sam, and our family, outstanding care and compassion at the end of her life. We will always be thankful, and we want to ensure that other families receive the same support when they need it most.
It costs £19 million each year to run Birmingham Hospice’s vital services, with £7.2 million needing to be raised annually through fundraising, shops and voluntary donations.
As the London Marathon approaches, every donation truly makes a difference. Any support – big or small – would mean the world to us. Thank you so much for helping Team Beeston support Birmingham Hospice. xxx
