My Sri Lanka Highland Challenge for Nugent

In February 2027, I’ll be taking on one of the toughest challenges I’ve ever faced – trekking 100 kilometres through the breathtaking highlands of Sri Lanka over several consecutive days.

I’ll be trekking across rugged mountain trails, climbing thousands of metres in elevation, navigating remote villages, tea plantations and forest paths, all while carrying everything I need for each day’s trek. It will test me physically and mentally, with long days on my feet, steep ascents and descents, tropical humidity and plenty of sore muscles along the way!

I’m taking on this challenge to raise vital funds for Nugent’s Our Future Now appeal, helping to support people facing poverty, mental health crisis, housing instability and inequality. Every pound raised helps Nugent reach those who need support most, creating opportunities, restoring hope and giving people the chance to thrive.

Knowing that every step I take is helping to change lives will keep me moving when the challenge gets tough.
