Severnside Tritons have 4 teams of 6 swimming in the annual Thornbury Swimarathon.

Rotary's main objective is to serve its communities by providing personal and financial assistance to local charities and good causes. For 40 years, the annual Thornbury Swimarathon has been the area's major community event, raising and donating over £500,000

Teams of friends, family members, colleagues or club members, usually six in number, swim lengths in turn; each individual - or the whole team - seek sponsor-ship for their efforts. Their sponsors donationas are added to the main charity for the event or to an alternative charity.

The Event is hosted by the Thornbury Leisure Centre, and over the years has been generously supported financially or with services by many local companies large and small, enabling all individual sponsors' funds to be distributed.

Severnside Tritons will receive 50% of all the money we raise as a club back. This will be used by the club for essential kit, and to contribute towards pool hire costs to try to ensure fees are kept as low as reasonably possible to make the club as accessible as possible to the surrounding community.
