Sarah's fundraiser for Scripture Union Scotland

Now five Half Marathon's in 2024 · 28 April 2024
A bit about me followed by a bit about my fundraising.
04/01/24 I'll have worked at Lendrick Muir for 8 years and couldn't find a better company to work for.
Running did not come easy for me, I have hypermobility syndrome, flat feet, Fibromyalgia, calcium tendonitis & impingement syndrome in both shoulders, reynaulds and tendon damage in right hand ( drop things a lot ), the ladies I see about my feet actually don't know how I manage to run due to how bad my feet are,
I have days I struggle but I keep fighting. I done my first HM in November 2022, it was freezing cold and it definitely wasn't easy But I done it,,,,
I am now doing
Alloa HM 17th April
Barry Buddon HM 28th April
Loch Leven HM 12th May
Antrum Coast HM 25th August
Glasgow HM 6th October
My fundraising
I work with Scripture Union, my place of work is Lendrick Muir,
I am hoping to raise money so that we can allow some children and young people who's family's are really struggling with cash to allow them to have a holiday and it will also let the parent's/guardians have some breathing space especially with cash flow. any donation no matter how small will help and be gratefully appreciated
SU Holidays is operated by Scripture Union Scotland which is part of the worldwide family of Scripture Union movements that began in the nineteenth century and now operate in over 135 countries across the world.
We are a Christian charity working in partnership with local churches. More than 2,000 volunteers are involved in helping to run our activities, together with around 100 staff and associate workers.
Everything we do is governed by two core values: dependence on God and deepening relationships.
We want to see children and young people:
Feeling valued and accepted, being able to express their views, engage with others, and grow in confidence as they recognise and develop their abilities.
Being familiar with key stories and events from the Bible, reading and studying the Bible on their own and with others, and growing in their knowledge of God and obedience to his word.
Having the opportunity to learn about Jesus, making the decision to follow him, and reflecting this choice in their attitudes and actions.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
