This year, I will be taking my running shoes out of retirement (since birthing two 9lbers) and joining many others running the great north run for a very special cause, my nephew Brody. 🏃

When I met Brody's mum in 2009 as young and naive Hull students, we had no idea that one day we'd be family. Brody is not only my best friends son but my nephew and God son and I will be running the GNR to raise money and support his family and future.

Brody and his twin brother Myles are loved beyond belief but the reality is that love doesn't cover the cost of everything needed to keep Brody comfortable and safe at home with his family. Brody has bilateral spastic dystonic cerebral palsy and infantile spasms, along with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome and is registered blind. He has gone through a hell of a lot in his short four years of life but he continues to fight and defy each and every obstacle with giggles and happy noises along the way. A little half marathon is the least I can do to help so any support you can give towards his fund would be hugely appreciated ❤️
