Story
🚶♀️ 100 hours… 100 miles… 1 very tired counsellor! 😂
L
So, apparently celebrating 100 hours of trainee counselling wasn’t enough of a challenge… so I’ve decided to celebrate by walking 100 miles throughout September! 😳👣
And I’m hoping to turn all those miles into something really positive by raising money for Youthline, the charity where I’ve been lucky enough to gain some of my counselling experience. ❤️
Since 1988, Youthline has provided FREE counselling to young people from 12 upwards, as well as parents, carers and secondary school students. They provide a safe, supportive space where young people can talk to trained, supervised and DBS-checked counsellors about whatever they might be facing.
Youthline works across Bracknell Forest, both from its office and within local secondary schools, supporting young people experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties.
What I particularly love about Youthline is that they don’t just provide a listening ear — they monitor the difference their work makes. Everyone who receives counselling through the service shows increased wellbeing. ❤️
So, for every mile I walk, I’ll be thinking about the young people who need somewhere safe to be heard.
💯 100 hours of counselling training
👣 100 miles in September
❤️ One brilliant cause
There may be blisters. There may be questionable walking outfits. There will definitely be a LOT of complaining. 😂
But if you can spare anything to sponsor me, even £1, it would mean so much and help Youthline continue doing what they do.
Wish me luck… I’m going to need it! 😂👣❤️
