The Melanesian Mission is a mission agency working with the Anglican Church of Melanesia in Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Vanuatu and the UK, through Prayer, People and Giving. We are a community of people who live and grow in Christian fellowship, supporting and learning from each other.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In Melanesia, the rights of women and girls are often overlooked. Many girls don’t complete their education and are married off at a young age. Domestic violence is normalised, making it difficult for victims to escape. However, there’s hope: The Community of the Sisters of the Church and the Community of the Sisters of Melanesia, provide refuge and actively campaign to end all forms of gender-based violence. Your support can make a difference to enable their work to continue!

Sarah Crompton and Catherine Duce are taking part in this year's MMUK pilgrimage to pray and raise funds for the ministry to women in Melanesia. The pilgrimage along the 40-mile St Hilda’s Way in North Yorkshire serves as a powerful symbol of solidarity and prayer for this ministry.
