My lovely Mum was treated at Velindre , it is a truly amazing place, staffed by amazing people.

My Mum was a fantastic swimmer and fearless in the sea. She told us stories of jumping off Saundersfoot harbour as a child, bringing up a handful of sand, to prove she had been to the bottom.

So, the Great North 5 K swim, in cold Lake Windermere, seems a fitting challenge in her memory and to raise funds for Velindre.
