Story
I'm jumping from 15,000ft to raise money for the amazing charity Willow Wood Hospice.
I've worked for Willow Wood Hospice for nearly 20 years and i've seen first hand the truly incredible work they do every single day.
Willow Wood Hospice provides outstanding care, dignity and compassion to people facing the most difficult time of their lives. They don't just care for patients, they support their families too, offering comfort, kindness and strength when it's needed most.
Sadly many people battling life limiting illnesses spend their final days at Willow Wood Hospice, where they do everything possible to make those days as peaceful, comfortable and meaningful as possible. The dedication of the staff and volunteers is truly remarkable and the support they give to patients and families in the community can never be valued.
I personally, have fought more battles than most. Most recently was in 2022 when I suffered a serious head injury after a fall. I did not have a good chance of survival but, my strength and determination helped me to fight my way through it.
Many years before, in 1980, just 2 months after getting married, I was diagnosed with melanoma cancer which I battled for seven and half years in and out of hospital and was even given 6 months to live at one point, but I kept fighting to ensure I was still here today to tell the tale.
Now I'm taking on this huge challenge of jumping 15,000ft to help raise money for a place that means so much to me.
If you're able to donate anything at all, no matter how small, it would be hugely appreciated and will really help Willow Wood Hospice to continue providing the incredible care and support they give to patients and their families at a time when they need it most.
