London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·

Our goal is to identify and remove the barriers disabled people face in accessing sport and physical activity through projects, advise and influencing. We want to empower and inspire communities to be inclusive. We can work together to realise individual potential and aspirations.

Story

Having been a spectator for so many years, I thought I would take the plunge and have a go at the London marathon myself. I am so excited to take on this challenge in my fiftieth year!

I have been lucky enough to obtain a place with the Nissan team, and I will run for the Richard Whitehead foundation: https://www.whitehead.foundation/our-vision

I am passionate about exercise and how it makes you feel, so I am very proud to run for this charity. Through the vision of ‘Enabling disabled peoples ambitions’, the charity seeks to help disabled people overcome barriers to sports, recognising the transformative influence that sport can have when these obstacles are removed.
