I am running the London marathon 2026 for Harbour Cancer Support, a fantastic local charity based in Gosport. I have been given a fantastic opportunity to run in this brilliant event and want to do Harbour Cancer Support proud.

This will be a huge physical and mental challenge for me. London Marathon is something I have dreamed of doing since I was a teenager. After battling low self esteem, mental health struggles that led to an adulthood of overeating & obesity, I have turned my life around. Its now time to give something back. I have found a love of running, and run regularly with my running club. The furthest I've run is a half marathon, so going double will be a huge test of dedication and physical strength.

So many of us know someone who has battled various types of cancer - some battles thankfully won, and sadly some not. Any cancer diagnosis is catastrophic to the patient, their families and friends. Its at the point of diagnosis, that support is needed to help get through life day to day. Harbour Cancer Support is a free service that can give that vital support - from specialised counselling, a safe place to meet others in a similar position, and vital advice of how to negotiate practical needs whilst on a cancer journey.

I am running in memory of loved ones who I sadly lost to cancer and for those who have won the battle or are still defying the odds and keep up the fight. Whilst we all hope a cure is found soon, the support given by Harbour Cancer Support is invaluable to so many.

Every pound raised, will make all my training runs, steps and time worth doing.
