Story
I’m fundraising for Bemorefab, a wonderful children’s charity that supports children with cancer and their families.
This cause is very close to my heart. My six year old niece, Clara, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) in July 2025 and has been receiving treatment at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. No child should ever have to go through what she has been through and whilst she has been so brave, it’s been an indescribably difficult time for the whole family.
It is through the incredible support of Sheffield Children’s Hospital, alongside charities like Bemorefab, that this difficult time has also included moments of joy and light. One of the ways they do this is through virtual dance classes, helping children experience joy, confidence and a sense of normality during an incredibly challenging time.Clara loves dancing, as does her little sister Freya, and charities like Bemorefab help keep those small but powerful parts of childhood happening when so much else has to be sacrificed.
In April, I’ll be running the Paris Marathon to raise money for Bemorefab. Taking on this challenge feels like a meaningful way to give something back and to support a charity that makes a real difference to families living through childhood cancer.
Any donation, no matter the size, would mean so much. Thank you for taking the time to read and for supporting such an important cause.
