Story
I joined British Exploring Society as a trustee earlier this year after learning about the amazing work that they do in delivering truly transformative experiences for young people, and giving them the opportunity to develop the resilience, courage, determination and capabilities to make the most of their lives.
British Exploring Society runs expeditions, led by highly skilled volunteers, to wild and remote places, and the results are transformative, not just in terms of the practical skills, but in terms of confidence, resilience and self-belief. In 2024 expeditions are planned for Scotland, Iceland and Georgia.
I have long been a passionate supporter of inclusion, diversity and equity, and a believer in the transformative power of new experiences, and these beliefs are also at the core of British Exploring Society, so I am delighted to be able to be part of the team supporting their work.
Four of us are completing the South Coast Challenge on 7th September, walking 25 kms, and I ask for your support to complete the challenge and raise funds for this amazing organisation.
These videos will give you an idea of the impact that this charity has, with explorers and volunteers speaking directly about the experiences, and also further detail on this tremendous charity.
