Story

As many people know in 2019 my world turned upside down, I was given the news that no one would want to hear, especially not at the age of 31. We've found something, prepare for the worst. My mums words still repeat in my head, is it cancer?? I laughed don't be silly, until I saw the doctors face, we believe it is. After CT scans and a MRI it was confirmed I had bowel cancer, only 4 days later I was lying on the operating table worried my life would never be the same again. A few weeks later I met with my amazing consultant who told me it was stage 3 and I needed chemotherapy, I was gutted, I wanted to be a normal 31 year old and not have to worry about this but instead I pulled up my big girl knickers and took it in my stride, it was such a difficult journey the chemotherapy took its toll on my body and my mind, I was advised to go to maggies to talk to other people in the same position, I was so nervous to go but so glad I did. I enjoyed meeting new people and also joined in with the classes they had to offer, I met some lovely people and it was so nice to be i a room where people actually understood what you were going through.

So I've decided to put my 2 left feet together and take part in this year's strictly. Most of my friends and family know I am probably one of or if not the most awkward person on a dance floor, unless I've had a few coronas and think I'm a professional but if I can help raise money for this amazing charity then I'm willing to do it.

Please donate as little or as much as you can, if anything it will give you a good laugh When I get some videos.

Thank you everyone, it really is appreciated.
