I am raising money for Epilepsy Wales. Epilepsy Wales is a charity that supports Epilepsy sufferers and carers. The charity offers support, advice and guidance. Epilepsy Wales has many groups throughout Wales for individuals to attend and talk to other people. Epilepsy can be Mild to Severe Life Changing and can also cause sudden death - ‘Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). Epilepsy can occur at any stage of life. There are over 40 different seizures that are known of, ranging from a Migraine to a ‘Grand Marl’ (Tonic Clonic). Through recent years of my experience of Epilepsy I believe there is not enough awareness of this condition as seizures can be presented in many forms.

I have Psoriatic Arthritis. I was diagnosed in 2014 and I take medication everyday. My arthritis is well controlled by the medication. Although medication works well for me I still experience daily pain and stiffness aswell as the side affects of the strong medication. Exercise, medication and Physiotherapy exercises are an important part of my day to day life with Arthritis.

I like walking and this helps to maintain mobility. I have decided to combine my Arthritis with my partners condition (epilepsy) and give myself a challenge and a goal by walking from Holyhead to LlanfairPG on Anglesey. As I give myself this challenge I am raising money and awareness for Epilepsy.
