Oliver has been under a Respiratory specialist at the Southampton general hospital for the past 5 years due to having a part collapsed lung. He would like to take on the challenge of doing a 1km swim on the 28th March to raise funds for the hospital as a Thank you for all the work and help they have given him over the years.

Oliver has gone from being on antibiotics 6 months of the year to keep infections at bay to as and when they are required. We have also gone from doing lots of visits to the hospital for different reasons for his lungs to one appointment a year. Oliver's appointments can be from a 30 min check up to 3 hour appointments as he has to have physio, lung function test and x-rays. What the team have done with Oliver over the years has been fantastic.

Oliver has been having swimming lessons from a young age and in the past year we moved him to the City of Southampton Swimming club 'learn to swim'. Since this move his swimming has come on loads that he feels confident on doing a 1 km swim challenge. Oliver has been doing extra swimming to help work towards this challenge to help build this stamina up.
