Story
At 55, I’ve decided it’s time to try something new… so I am jumping out of a plane to raise money for West Kent Mind. I’ll be ignoring every instinct I have and hoping for the best (while securely attached to someone who knows what they’re doing).
West Kent Mind is the mental health charity where I work that offers creative wellbeing groups, social support, peer mentor training, low cost counselling, early intervention for young people, as well as corporate and community training.
Your donation will make a real difference to our work in the community:
* £10 can provide tea and biscuits at a group session - an essential part of the process
* £25 can pay for venue hire closer to people's homes
* £50 allows us to offer an assessment to another young person who's struggling with their mental health
* £350 could sponsor a young person to complete our six week early intervention programme
If you’re able to donate, I’d really appreciate it.
And if your donation also buys a small moment of amusement at the thought of me hurtling towards the ground whilst shouting various sweary words — that’s perfectly fair too.
Thank you very much for your support.
