Story
This walk is a part of the 'First Give' schools programme; a programme designed to inspire children like us to make a real difference in society for those who need it most. Sheffield Mind's mission is to make sure no one faces a mental health challenge alone. That's why we decided take action. Everyone has experience with negative mental health, as most have either suffered with it or know someone who has. This issue is so significant - especially today - that much more needs to be done under a crumbling support system where a mere third of people on the waiting list actually receive any form of help. Every pound raised from this walk helps Sheffield Mind deliver more vital services — from counselling and wellbeing groups to community projects tackling isolation. By supporting us, you’re helping Sheffield Mind to improve the lives of 1000s of people across the city, whether it's the 138,000 people who suffer themselves with a mental health condition, or the 15,000 children who live with a parent who has one. We strongly hope that you might consider donating, for what we all can agree is a good cause.
