Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge 2024 · 22 June 2024 ·

The intrepid Theatre Trekkers are putting their best foot forward and taking on the Cotswold Ultra Challenge - walking either 100km or 50km - IN ONE DAY - across the hilly Cotswolds. Why you ask? To raise funds for The Theatre's 50th Anniversary.

Story

Lots of you kindly sponsored me last September for the Panto fun run that helped raise vital funds for Chippy Theatre, but now I’m upping my game…

This spring I’m striding about the muddy countryside as much as possible in preparation for walking 50 kilometres of The Cotswold Way with some of my intrepid (foolish?) Theatre colleagues. We’ll be walking from Cirencester to Wotton-under-Edge in a day, to raise funds for our Theatre’s 50th anniversary, and I’d love you to spur us all on with sponsorship.

Not only does Chippy Theatre deliver a packed programme of events to happy audiences, but it also welcomes over 400 people every week in our Take Part courses. Additionally, our free community bursaries and outreach projects provide opportunity to those who are disadvantaged and create real, positive change in our community. So, if you sponsor me, you’re already helping make a difference to so many people.

On a personal note too, some of you will already know that I’ve made the difficult decision to move from The Theatre to a new job this summer. I’m sad to be leaving for so many reasons, but equally determined to tackle The Cotswold Way challenge as a last hoorah for this incredible little building that has such a big heart. Please dig deep and help Chippy Theatre remain such a caring asset to our community for the next 50 years!
