Story
When we lost my beloved husband, Nick, last May, we definitely found ourselves in a very dark and difficult place. The trauma and shock of losing a loved one to suicide is horrendous. I will be forever grateful to the Headlight Project for their ongoing care & support; I can honestly say I don’t know how I’d be able to navigate such devastation without them.
I’d really appreciate any help towards raising much-needed funds for Headlight. I’ll be taking part in this year’s Hike into the Light - a 10-mile walk from Cod Beck reservoir via the Cleveland Way. This will be an overnight hike, finishing as the sun comes up to symbolise finding our way through the darkest of times.
Thank you 🧡
The Headlight Project aims to reduce the number of deaths by suicide in the Tees Valley, which has one of the highest regional rates in the country. We aim to achieve this by providing therapy to those bereaved by suicide, and delivering preventative education and training to schools, local businesses and the community.
