Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be participating in the 2024 London Marathon. As the Headteacher of a primary school, I constantly encourage children to 'Dream Big!' – and now, it's my turn to lead by example. Running the London Marathon has been a lifelong dream of mine, representing the ultimate challenge. While I know it won't be easy, I'm determined to give it my all!
I've chosen to dedicate my run to support St Luke's Hospice (Harrow and Brent) in memory of the incredible Emma Quirke. Emma, a mother of three wonderful girls, served as the Chair of the Friends of Pinner Wood. Throughout my time as Headteacher, Emma's unwavering determination, boundless energy, and relentless optimism – even in the face of her five-year battle with illness – was an inspiration for us all. Her absence is deeply felt, and I hope to honor her memory by contributing to her fund at St Luke's.
During a recent visit to St Luke's, I was deeply moved by the incredible work being done there. While it's a place no one wishes to be, the warm and welcoming atmosphere provides invaluable support to families during their most difficult times. Remarkably, the hospice relies on donations for 75% of its funding, with only 25% coming from the NHS.
I'm passionate about raising funds to support the vital work of St Luke's Hospice, and I'm reaching out to ask for your support. Your donation, no matter the amount, will make a real difference in the lives of those in need.
If you're able to contribute, I would be immensely grateful. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and honor the memory of Emma Quirke while supporting the incredible work of St Luke's Hospice.
