Story
My colleagues and I wanted to challenge ourselves this new year and in doing so thought a good motivation would be to raise money for a local charity.
We work Fife wide, and we form part of the Community Led Support Team. Daily we try to make a difference in our communities. We all work from home and spend our days mostly at our desk or driving between face to face meetings.
On a personal level my son was diagnosed with Autism in 2023. The first time he visited Autism Rocks he was so calm and relaxed and said he was able to be himself. The safe space, non-judgmental approach and the support and advice they provide to children and families is invaluable. However, to continue what they do best they need help.
So, in keeping with the Fife theme we plan to walk the distance of the Fife Pilgrims Way (64 miles). Starting on 13/1/25 we will walk 10,000 steps per day for 13 days. My boy will do this challenge as well! This really is a challenge as some days we are lucky to do 2,000 / 3,000 steps.
Any donations made would be so greatly appreciated and hopefully go a long way toward keeping Autism Rocks in our local community.
Thank you so very much. Any contribution you can make will be gladly received.
