Story

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving Page!

I am Sarah, the Marketing and PR Officer at CFINE, and this year Sam Leys, CFINE Development Manager and I will be taking part in Saltire 24!

CFINE (Community Food Initiatives North East) is an amazing charity based in Aberdeen, North East of Scotland that works to tackle poverty by providing essential food support to communities across the city of Aberdeen through Emergency Food, Community Food Pantries, the redistribution of FareShare surplus and more. CFINE also promotes and provides skills development through our community kitchen (Cook at the Nook), the Warehouse Skills Development Programme, and many more! Further, CFINE also provides benefits and budgeting advice through its SAFE team.

Saltire 24 is a fantastic trail race that takes place at Knockburn Loch and this year lands on Saturday 22nd-23rd June, where we will be doing the 24 hour relay option in a team of 4, 'The Plod Squad'.

CFINE are delighted, once again, to be the charity partner and are incredibly grateful to all those who are doing the race in aid of CFINE and for the support from Rebel PT.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to Red Wing, who are one of CFINE's fantastic corporate supporters. They are, once again, supplying the amazing t-shirts that every Saltire participant will receive.

For Saltire 24 participants: This year we are kindly asking that if you are in a position to do so, please donate £5 or what you can for your t-shirt at registration, that will go to CFINE.

We are incredibly thankful for any donations that will go towards supporting the vital work that takes place at CFINE, it will help ensure we can keep up with the rising demand for our services.

Please support if you can, thank you everyone!
