Story
This year, myself and a couple of others will be taking part in the Potters ’Arf in memory of the amazing Emily Lockley, while raising money for a charity that was very close to her heart – Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank.
Emily ran the Potters ‘Arf herself in 2021 and made it look effortless.
Apparently, it’s “just” 13 miles with a couple of little hills!
Sadly, we lost Emily in February 2024, just one day after her 26th birthday, when she suffered an Amniotic Fluid Embolism during labour. Although our hearts were broken, Emily’s beautiful son, Harley, arrived and remains a treasured part of her legacy.
Emily was the heart and soul of her family and touched the lives of so many people with her kindness, warmth and generosity.
Raising money for Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank feels like a fitting way to honour her memory and supporting a cause that meant so much to her.
