I am running a half ultra (25km or 15.5 miles in old money) along the north downs from Guildford to Dorking for Macmillan. I work as a speech therapist supporting those who have been affected by head and neck cancer. It is an awful disease and the treatment for it is also awful, often leaving people with life altering disability and/or facial disfigurement.

Macmillan provide staff, information, fund research and train professionals working in cancer care. I am grateful for the opportunity to give something back to this organisation who are so integral to our NHS services for those affected by cancer.
