Story
My beautiful son Henry died aged 2 in 2018. Child Bereavement UK supported myself, my husband, and Henry’s brothers through counseling and family events. They were there for our family in a difficult time. I’m running the marathon to give back and to raise additional funding for other families in need of support.
Here’s are some of ways Child Bereavement UK could use your funds to support families:
Shopping list items:
£10 could provide a young child our pop-up book to help them express their thoughts and feelings with an adult when someone important to them has died.
£25 could provide a school with our creative activity book which includes a framework of activities to engage bereaved young people from ages 8-18, helping them to develop resilience and coping skills.
£45 could fund a place for a professional to attend one of our specialist training courses, helping them to understand and develop skills when working with bereaved children, young people, and families.
£65 could provide an hour of telephone support for a bereaved parent, providing them with a listening ear, guidance, and support.
£98 could provide a support session for a bereaved child and their family, helping them to rebuild their lives after the devastation of bereavement
