Sarah's fundraiser for Mind in memory of Mark Parkin (Parky)

Skydive · 7 April 2025
To celebrate the life of my wonderful husband and best friend, Mark, and to acknowledge all the light he brought to our world, I will be doing a skydive for the mental health charity, Mind, on what would have been his 60th birthday - Monday 7th April - we had so many plans.
As many of you are already aware, I lost my beloved Mark, father to my two girls, Annabelle & Alice, to suicide on Thursday 7th March 2024 at 9.50am. The hardest, most gut-wrenching, horrific, life-altering day of my life.
Mark had no known history of mental illness - we were completely unprepared for such a profound and devastating loss.
To the outside world, Mark was outgoing, bubbly, smiley, fun-loving, thoughtful, caring, inspirational, a true family man and a born entertainer. Someone with a loving and supportive family, successful career and a content life. But inside, he was fighting an invisible battle that not even we knew about.
Like Mark, a lot of people suffer in silence, without any help, so I’d like to raise awareness and help make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone.
I know Mark would be grateful for any donation you can make in his memory to this worthy charity. He would want to help those who suffer like he did - to keep families and loved ones together.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page.
Please give what you can - your generosity is greatly appreciated and will raise awareness, challenge stigma, change lives, and encourage people to seek support. Being seen and heard, matters.
