As many of you are aware our beautiful baby B Bonnie-Rae, unexpectedly passed away on Christmas day. I am now fundraising in Bs name to help support other families, going through the loss of a child and to keep Bs name and memory alive. This has been the most devastating, heartbreaking time and we are taking things day by day. She was the most beautiful perfect girl who was so loved and has left a huge hole in our lives. Mr Morris has very generously offered to support our efforts by running the 55 miles from Brigg town to Barnsley where B sadly passed away. Mr Morris will run the 55 miles carrying Bonnie-Raes birth weight of 7lb 15oz on the 23rd of May.

We are fundraising to purchase an Abi Cooling Cot which is a refrigerated unit that allows families to spend more time with their deceased baby than would otherwise be possible.

The cooling cot helps parents to bond with their baby and aids the grieving process. Since 2017, Abigail’s Footsteps, in partnership with The Bond Group, has delivered over 300 Abi Cooling Cots to hospitals and hospices across the UK and Ireland. In 2025, we even shipped five cots to Australia, because every family deserves this gift of time no matter where they are.

It is our mission to encourage all bereavement suites in hospitals to have at least two cooling cots.
