My wonderful husband Andrew and amazing boys Jenson and Rowan are taking part in the Great Cumbrian Run 2025 to raise money and awareness for a fund which is very close to my heart - the West Cumberland Hospital Breast Unit 6216.

Andrew will be running the half marathon, Jenson the 10k and Rowan will be doing the Fun Run on 5th October at Carlisle, which is just another example of the continued support the three of them have shown to me over the past year or so.

Andrew and Jenson are currently training hard, and Rowan is a little machine running his socks off on that football pitch, which he's claiming as his training for the fun run.

Andrew has been with me every step of the way and during initial appointments with my incredible nurse Belinda, he discussed the cost of a few items that the Unit supplied in preparation for surgery and treatment. These items are funded by the WCH Breast Unit fund and we both promised Belinda that we would raise some money once I was through the other side. Andrew told Belinda he will be happy if he raises enough to cover the items that were given to me (approx £200).

We will all be extremely grateful if you could spare a pound or two for the WCH Breast Unit 6216 fund to help us give back at least what it has cost them to look after me and hopefully a little more to cover funds for other women within the area being treated by the Unit.
