This September I’m attempting to run from Hunstanton to Southwold along the Norfolk coastal path with the aim of raising some pennies for Big C a Norolk based cancer charity but also to raise some awareness about how important it is for all of us to keep active. Sadly most of us have been affected by cancer either directly or through family or friends. I was diagnosed in 2016 at the age of 36 with triple negative breast cancer and after my diagnosis I’ve continued to become aware of how many lives are impacted by this awful disease. After my treatment I went back to uni and retrained as a physiotherapist and now in my role as a community physio I spend lots of time encouraging patients to keep active. This September I’m challenging friends and family to pledge the price of a brew, pick a distance to run or walk and virtually take part in #Norfolkcoastcancerchallenge. It can be 2km- 20miles whatever feels like a challenge to you - pledge to take part between 18-21st September whenever suits you best.
