For many breast cancer survivors, the journey doesn’t end after mastectomy. While reconstruction is an option for some, others choose to forgo it or are unable to access it due to cost, medical reasons, or personal choice. What they are often left with are scars — visible reminders of trauma, loss, and survival. The Mastectomy Tattoo Alliance (MTA) is working to change that narrative, one tattoo at a time.

MTA connects survivors with skilled tattoo artists who specialize in beautiful, restorative tattoos over mastectomy scars — at no cost to the recipient. These tattoos are more than art; they are healing. They empower survivors to reclaim their bodies, their confidence, and their sense of self after cancer.

But this transformative work requires support. Every pound raised goes directly toward helping survivors receive these life-changing tattoos — covering artist fees, travel expenses, and outreach to make this service accessible to more people.
