4 x ultramarathons in 4 months · 11 November 2024

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in 4 varied ultramarathons between August and November 2024 to raise money for MS Society (detailed below). As you may already know (and from my previous fundraising efforts), MS Society is close to my heart as my Aunty has multiple sclerosis and I have seen her condition deteriorate since I was a kid. The work that MS Society does towards researching the condition and supporting people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis is phenomenal and every penny fundraised is well spent!

I have signed up for more RatRace events which include the UK sea to summit trilogy and Race to the Wreck. All events have been self-funded and all donations will go straight to MS Society!

The events that I will be taking part in are:

1. 31st August 2024 - running Ben Nevis (29 miles and 6000ft elevation);

2. 28th September 2024 - running Scafell Pike (31 miles and 5600ft elevation);

3. 12th October 2024 - running Snowdon (33 miles and 6300ft elevation); and

4. 3-10 November 2024 - running the Skeleton Coast in Namibia, Africa (total 124 miles)

This will be an incredible challenge for me. Although I do a bit of running, I don’t do a lot of trail running and I definitely don’t run up mountains or across deserts and incredible dunes! Namibia will include camping in the desert… and thankfully, (unlike Panama), will be in a tent rather than attempting to put up a hammock!

Any donations will be greatly appreciated and will help such an amazing cause! Please remind me why I put myself through this torture!
